Actor Chris Evans wittily responded to New Zealand filmmaker Taika Waititi calling him a “supporting” character.
“I’m the main star of this movie but I made the most of it and said the trailer should focus more on supporting characters like @ChrisEvans, Bazz,” Waititi wrote, joking with the tape. -announcement of the next animated film “Lightyear”. “Every hero has a beginning. Male Astronaut Go on an intergalactic adventure with Disney and Pixar’s #Lightyear this June 17, 2022.”
Evans took to Twitter to respond to Waititi’s post on Tuesday: “In my eyes you are the main star of every movie whether you’re in it or not.”
Waititi responded with a bursting heart and a folded hand emoji.

One of the fans shared throwback footage of Evans and Waititi laughing. In the video, the director falls and Evans picks him up before hugging him. “We understand you two are awesome,” one fan captioned the video.
another fan suggested that the filmmaker should also make a film with Chris Hemsworth, and that this film should be released on Netflix, “Now make a film with Taika and Hemsworth. Bonus points if you add Reynolds. Suggest Netflix because no one else could pay you all !”
“Lightyear” is an animated action movie based on the fictional character, Buzz Lightyear. The character first appeared in the “Toy Story” animated films. The upcoming film is helmed by director Angus MacLane and produced by Galyn Susman. The film is set to be released on June 17.
Besides “Lightyear”, Evans will next be seen in an action thriller, “The Gray Man”, which is in post-production. The actor will also appear in films like “Red One”, “Little Shop of Horrors” and “Bermuda”.
Waititi, meanwhile, will direct the highly anticipated Marvel movie, “Thor: Love and Thunder,” which is slated for release on July 8. He will also lend his voice in the film for the character of Korg.
He will also appear in a television series, “Our Flag Means Death,” which is in post-production, and the first episode is set to be released on March 31.
