Geneva is preparing for the 7th edition of the “Stop & Shop”
DOTHAN, Alabama (WTVY) – The city of Geneva is preparing for its 7th edition of “Stop & Shop”. This year, 11 stores are participating.
Each store will offer discounts or door prizes. Buyers must obtain a card at one of the participating stores, have it stamped at all stops and can return it at their last stop to be eligible for the grand prize draw. The price is generally valued at over a thousand dollars.
They’re adding a new addition this year: Secret Buyers. These secret buyers will be on the verge of handing out prizes from a local business to participating buyers.
This year, business leaders are ready to have fun, but the mission behind the event remains: to showcase Geneva’s small businesses.
“We want everyone to know that he can come to Geneva and spend the day,” said Shelby Danley, owner of the Willow House boutique. “They can come and do their shopping in our stores and eat in our restaurants. We have a variety of different businesses that don’t compete with each other, we believe that the community comes first, and we know that when one of us is successful, we all succeed. “
The stop and the shop will be this Friday and next Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
This year, participating stores:
Nonna Jo’s corner
Willow House Boutique
Antiques from downtown Geneva
Bob & Carol Antiques
Merle Norman Studio / Living room
Gracious Coffee Rays
New 2 You
Magnolia Grace Clothing Co.
