History Channel returns to Mississippi – Daily Leader

The popular History Channel show “American Pickers” is scheduled to film in Mississippi in February 2022.

The documentary-type series, which has already been filmed in the State of Magnolia, explores the fascinating world of “picking” antiques. The show follows skilled gatherers in the area as they search for the county’s most valuable antiques. They are always delighted to find important and unique collections and to learn the interesting stories behind them.

Gatherers travel back roads from coast to coast, in an effort to recycle and rescue forgotten relics. They want to meet people with remarkable and exceptional objects and hope to breathe new life into objects of historical significance while learning a thing or two about America’s past.

“Pickers have seen a lot of rusted gold over the years and are always looking to uncover something they haven’t seen before,” said Sarah Perkins, producer of “American Pickers”. “We continue to take the pandemic very seriously and will follow all guidelines and protocols for safe filming outlined by the state and the CDC. Nonetheless, we are delighted to continue to contact the region’s many collectors to discuss their years of collecting and look forward to hearing their memorable stories. “

Producers are looking for leads and want to explore hidden gems.

“If you or someone you know has a large private collection or an accumulation of antiques that collectors can spend most of the day looking at, send us your name, phone number, location and description of the property. collection with photos at americanpickers @ cineflix.com or call 855-OLD-RUST.

Pickers will only view private collections, so no stores, malls, flea markets, museums, auctions, businesses or anything else open to the public.
