HP Completes Acquisition of Teradici | Global Animation Network
HP Inc. announced the completion of its acquisition of Teradici Company, an innovator in remote computing software that allows users to securely access high-performance calculations from any PC, Chromebook or tablet.
As hybrid work becomes the norm, 67% of the workforce is expected to work remotely at least three days a week, according to HP Internal CMI Research, 2021. Acquisition will enhance HP’s capabilities in the systems category personal by providing new models of computers and digital services based on software adapted to hybrid work.
“This agreement supports our broader strategy of innovation at the heart of the hybrid by creating new IT experiences, services and subscriptions that meet changing customer needs and drive profitable growth,” commented Alex Cho, president of HP Personal Systems. “We are delighted to officially welcome Teradici’s incredibly talented team to HP. “
HP will now be able to offer enhanced remote services and solutions through a single subscription to Teradici Cloud Access software and ZCentral Remote Boost. ZCentral Remote Boost software provides remote access to physical workstations, enabling remote and hybrid working for professionals such as engineers, animators, editors and other high performance IT users.
The company brings a complementary set of capabilities focused on cloud PCs and virtual desktops. The combination of the two remote access solutions will allow HP to offer a broader remote computing platform that covers on-premise and cloud solutions from any device, including macOS, public clouds and iPad and Android tablets. The integrated subscription will be available for purchase by the end of the calendar year.
