Finally, since Lars was also the voice of thrown in the animated series, Star Wars: Rebelsthere’s literally no one better for the live-action role.

Here’s what they had to say on the matter:

As Lars has a particularly busy filming schedule, I doubt he will be free to attend this event.

They are not wrong. Lars is shooting a lot right now, and traveling all the way to Anaheim to attend Star Wars Celebration May 26-29 might not be possible for the Danish actor.

However, what I hear is that he may have recorded a message for the many Star Wars fans who will be attending.

Lars is attached to quite a few projects at the moment, so it seems like his schedule is pretty hectic.

He is attached to projects such as The knife thrower, The X-Gene Project, The boy who stole the world (according to rumour), Beach and The kiss.

Mikkelsen will also film scenes for the witcher Soon season 3, so it will take him a long time.

Oddly enough, Lars is also attached to a Star Wars fan movie called Envelope Fatewhich is described as “A Star Wars Long Tale fan movie production”.

He plays a Jedi Knight in this project called Okana Vidai.

I’m interested in seeing this project too.

As for Thrawn, it looks like we won’t have to wait too long before we finally get confirmation that Lars is indeed playing the character in live-action.
