Lightyear’s New Trailer Takes The Iconic Toy Story Character To The Future

Pixar Animation Studios has continued to deliver top-notch animated films over the past decades, as proven by their box office, critical and award-winning success. After the release of the famous turn red last month, next on their slate is Light yeara spin-off of toy story series centered on the origin story of Buzz Lightyear and his adventure to infinity and beyond. Many fans have been interested in seeing the film since its announcement, mainly due to the casting of Chris Evans as the voice of the main character.

Disney and Pixar have released the second official trailer for Light year which further highlighted the film’s story as we saw the titular astronaut accidentally travel back in time and go on adventures with Izzy Hawthorne, his commander’s granddaughter and best friend Alisa Hawthorne, as well as some of the people they met along the way. It also gave us a glimpse of the looming threat of Emperor Zurg and his army of robots trying to take over the universe.

Based on the new footage, it looks like the film will deliver on its promise to bring an action-packed sci-fi adventure story that will give us an in-depth look at the character we love in the movie. toy story movies. Evans also seems like a great choice as the character’s voice actor and it’s reminiscent of other leading roles he’s played in the past, such as Captain America in the MCU. It certainly has huge potential to be Pixar’s next big hit.

The movie’s logline reads: “The definitive origin story of Buzz Lightyear, the hero who inspired the toy, ‘Lightyear’ follows the legendary Space Ranger after he is stranded on a hostile planet 4.2 million light-years from Earth alongside his commander and their crew.As Buzz tries to find a way home through space and time, he is joined by a group of ambitious recruits and his charming robot cat companion, Sox. The arrival of Zurg, a commanding presence with an army of ruthless robots and a mysterious agenda.”

The voice cast includes Evans, Uzo Aduba, Peter Sohn, Keke Palmer, Taika Waititi, Dale Soules, James Brolin, Mary McDonald-Lewis, Isiah Whitlock Jr., Efren Ramirez and Keira Hairston. The film is directed by Angus MacLane, produced by Galyn Susman, and features a score by Michael Giacchino.
