VIEW Conference 2022 Unveils In-Person Recruitment Fair

VIEW Conference 2022 invites attendees to explore career opportunities at its upcoming career fair, taking place within Italy’s premier conference on animation, visual effects, games and computer graphics. VIEW 2022 is taking place October 16-21 in Turin, Italy, and the recruitment fair is taking place on-site at the OGR from October 17-21.

Bring your portfolio and register here for free access to the VIEW Conference 2022 recruitment fair in person only with companies like ILM, Framestore, Trixter, Rotomaker, Axis Studios, El Ranchito, Technicolor Creative Studios, Escape Studios and Alps Studios. When signing up, provide a link to your portfolio (not password protected) so company recruiters can check your work in advance.

The VIEW Conference presents highlights from its upcoming 2022 event:

The 2022 VIEW International Conference promises to inspire, inform and educate both in person and online, with professionals, leaders, students and industry enthusiasts coming together to celebrate the latest achievements in animation, visual effects and games. The conference will host an extensive program of live lectures, presentations, workshops and masterclasses on various topics including storytelling, virtual production, computer graphics, interactive and immersive media, VR/AR/mixed reality and the metaverse, artificial intelligence and reality. – Temporal rendering.

Sessions will look at some of this year’s most popular animation features, such as Encanto; Pinocchio; turn red; Light year; Wendell and savage; The beast from the sea; The villains; and Puss in Boots: The Last Wish, led by top creatives from Walt Disney Studios, Pixar Animation Studios and Netflix. Presentations will also be led by filmmakers including Oscar winner Robert Zemeckis and directors Henry Selick, Angus MacLane and Domee Shi.

Highlights include 20 minutes of never-before-seen footage from Disney’s upcoming animated feature strange world presented by producer Roy Conli and a retrospective of the 1994 Disney classic The Lion King with director Rob Minkoff.

Featured presentations will include the main creators of the Netflix series ollie lostthe Netflix animated anthology Love, Death + Robotsand the ABBA Travel concert experience, as well as the Forbidden Horizon West and the winner of the BAFTA Games Return. VFX supervisors will present a preview of some of the latest blockbusters in person, including Thor: Love and Thunder, stranger things 4, The sand man, Jurassic World Dominion, Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madnessand moon knight.

Panels will feature innovative creators, tech masters and industry leaders from AMD, Epic Games, Intel, Lenovo, Nvidia, Wacom and Adobe.

Unreal Engine’s Marc Petit hosts an in-depth conference on the Metaverse, with a range of virtual thinkers and pioneers discussing the possibilities of immersive worlds on the horizon. Additionally, experts in the field of virtual production examine the convergence of the real and digital worlds in filmmaking, while artificial intelligence examines the complex relationship between artists and AI.

Additional panels bring together filmmakers, studio heads and creatives who will discuss the future of storytelling, animation and visual effects. Additionally, Nickelodeon President Ramsey Naito and Sony Pictures Animation President Kristine Belson will share the stories behind their respective studios.

“It may sound like a cliché, but it’s true to say that every year the VIEW conference program gets bigger and better,” says conference director Dr. Maria Elena Gutierrez. “The caliber of this year’s speakers is matched only by their enthusiasm for the conference and all it stands for. And, after the COVID nightmare, it’s wonderful to know that most of our speakers are attending in person.

VIEW’s workshop and masterclass program will feature the creatives of award-winning stop-motion studio Aardman Animation sharing their knowledge; 3D modeling techniques in Blender software and stylized computer rendering; traditional anatomy and life drawing skills. In addition, ollie lost creators Shannon Tindle and Peter Ramsey will share their insights in “Telling Stories That Matter.” Additional workshops offer practical advice on honing essential professional skills in “How to pitch a feature film” and “Avoid creative burnout”.
