exclusively for Hermosillo’s sun He said that in 2020, when the epidemic began, only a year and a half had passed since he had opened his own office, the Cutanic Clinic, where he was dedicated to carrying out cosmetic treatments of all kinds. kinds.

“What we are doing are treatments to increase the size of certain areas; treat skin aging; treat bone aging, cell regeneration, among others, and that is why we do different types of treatments, both medical and regenerative.

He stressed that since February 2020, with instructions from the Ministry of Health, the clinic was completely closed, at least until mid-June when he was able to reopen it. However, while they remained without face-to-face consultations, he used the internet and social media to stay in touch with his patients.

“I had to work on building people’s confidence in the different treatments, so I used Instagram and Facebook, set up a dynamic where I started talking about the processes again and disseminating information through these platforms so that we to know more and to let patients know that all treatments we do here are safe. “.

New strategies

Being more involved in social media allowed Stéphanie to stay in touch with her patients, but also to keep people informed on various topics, which resulted in a significant increase in the number of online requests as well as the number of followers qu ‘they had on their pages. .

“We had good subscriber growth when I started engaging with the page more, I would say 50% and requests also increased by 50%. Thanks to this, when we opened our doors in June, we started to take in quite a few patients: at least from August to December, I saw a recovery of at least 60% of the face-to-face consultations.

He said he performed online consultations that did not require any face-to-face medical procedures, but rather treatments that required the purchase of a product the patient could provide. In this way, he said, he was also able to serve people outside of Hermosillo, thereby gaining patients in American cities like Phoenix and Texas, as well as other patients in Sonora like Guaymas, Nogales, Carbo and Rayon.

I have tried to be aware of the networks on a daily basis, and to share videos in which I have tried to speak more slang words so that the patient understands me and can thus dispel any doubts. In this way, I built up confidence and they started to consult me for certain cosmetic treatments. I have also tried putting together lists of products that they can find where they live.

The rise and fall of emotions

The aesthetic medicine specialist commented that the reopening of the clinic was gradual, before the epidemic they were treating around 15 patients a day, and when they returned they were doing it with only five people, mainly because they continued to pay attention to all health protocols.

“We had to face the fear of patients in the sense of leaving their homes again and going to a health facility, which is ultimately a doctor’s office, and that was again to instill that confidence in the patient in order to that he can resume operations. . “

The doctor pointed out that she, like her staff, already has a full immunization schedule, which helps them feel safe and also instills safety in their patients, who must complete a form before going to the office for check that they are in the right conditions to attend.

“These are the ups and downs of feelings; patience has had its ups and downs, so seek out patients and above all inform them and encourage the culture of aesthetic medicine. I am also very grateful to our patients for being very responsible in letting us know if they have any suspicious symptoms. They always let us know about their situation and ask us to cancel the appointment and postpone it until a month after that, as they are feeling better and have taken the necessary measures.

Among the treatments on offer, he said, are botulinum toxin, fillers, steroids, lipolytic enzyme treatments to remove double chin, body treatments, blemishes and hair removal. wax, among others.

Finally, Dr Stephanie Cruz mentioned that there are many places that profit from misinformation from a patient or people, so her recommendation is to always investigate first, either by reading or asking truly certified professionals. .
