Bleach: Official Character Profiles Released

Anticipation of the sequel Bleach: Bloody Thousand Year War swells as various developments regarding the sequel and climactic conclusion to Tite Kubo’s classic Shonen manga. This week saw the official reveal of the profiles of the various characters that will make up the cast of the series which will return in October.

The update came in the form of a tweet from the Bleach hosts the official Twitter page, which also shared the link to the series’ website where the profiles can be found. With October less than two months away, various cast and staff members have been revealed, along with several key visuals and trailers to build hype for the return of the giant Shonen Jump.

The appearance of character profiles on the official website Bleach The website is proof that the anime character designs of the various Shinigami, as well as those of some of the Sternritter officers who constitute the weight of the Quincy threat, have been completed. Based on previously released trailers to build hype for the series’ return, Studio Pierrot and series character designer Masashi Kudo have pulled out all the stops to ensure this final arc shows one of the Bleach best qualities of the series: art. With author Tite Kubo more involved than ever in the production of this final arc, fans are eagerly awaiting the full official release date, all the way to the day.


The profiles found on the official site separate the cast according to their faction, with the main characters, Ichigo, Uryu, Orihime, Chad, and Kisuke Urahara listed together, followed by the various important members of Soul Society, and finally, the members of the faction. Quincy – the Wanderreichs.

Interestingly, the full list of 26 Sternritters is not shown, with series antagonist Yhwach being followed by Quincies like his trusty right-hand man Jugram Haschwalth, the fiery Bazz-B, the terrifying Äs Nödt among a few others. With the confirmed release date of the series still quite vague, it could be that more character designs will be released on the official website as October approaches.


When clicking on the various character panels, an enlarged view of the selected character can be seen, with a better view of the character’s full body as well as three facial expressions. The information also includes the character’s voice actor and minor information about them in the form of the character’s height and birthday.

Bleach: Bloody Thousand Year War will be the adaptation of volumes 55 to 74 of the original manga, originally serialized from August 2001 to August 2016. The series has spawned multiple media including the original anime which ran for 366 episodes between October 2004 and March 2012, four d animation, a live-action film, novels as well as the BLEACH: Brave Souls mobile game, from which various voice actors who have not yet appeared in the anime will reprise their roles.
